Echoes of the Holocaust
Shalom Robinson, M.D., Editor

Dan G. Hertz
Born in Miskolc, Hungary, in 1922; died on September 18, 1998.

A Holocaust survivor himself who was incarcerated in several Nazi concentration and death camps, among them Auschwitz death camp, Dan Hertz was deeply involved in research on the psychosocial effects of Nazi persecution. He was a member of the Founding Editorial Board of Echoes of the Holocaust, and his wise advice helped me to solve problems concerning the production of this journal whenever they arose.

Dan was professor of psychiatry at the Hebrew University Medical School in Jerusalem and director of the Walter Schindler Center for Medical Psychotherapy. He was also a member of the Israel and International Psychoanalytic Association.

His friends will always remember him and miss him.

Shalom Robinson,
